Nome, Alaska Mission Trip ~ August 5th – 15th, 2026
Ten-day Alaskan mission trip; working on the refurbishing of Nome Community Center houses and children’s home. Work will involve light carpentry: window replacement & exterior painting. Skilled construction volunteers and non-skilled volunteers needed. Much of this work is physical. Lodging will be on air mattresses/army cots in the church classrooms. Showers are in the community center.
There will be 7 work days, 2 long travel days, and 1 excursion day, along with evenings to see the sights of Nome. Sightseeing opportunities MAY BE: Wildlife viewing, beach combing, a museum visit. Youth must be in 9th grade or above, unless accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Cost $1,200.00, includes travel from Minneapolis, lodging and meals on workdays. (Not included 4 travel meals and excursion costs) Deposit of $600 is due with registration before April 20th. Final payment is due before May 29th.
Spots are limited and we are only able to take the first 16 volunteers that register with deposit.
